HKSTP Leads Largest Hong Kong Delegation to BIO 2026: Key Highlights and Partnerships

The delegation aimed to forge global partnerships, showcase Hong Kong's life and health technology strengths, and reinforce the city's status as an international healthcare innovation hub.
The 2026 delegation was the largest-ever, doubling the size of the Hong Kong Pavilion to a record 41 organisations, including partner companies, research institutes, and for the first time, spin-offs from five top universities.
The delegation was co-organised by HKSTP and InvestHK, with support from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and five local universities: The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and City University of Hong Kong.
Two major partnerships were highlighted: an MOU between HKSTP and LabCentral, a global non-profit biotech incubator, to deepen US-Hong Kong ties; and a collaboration between Immuno Cure (developer of HIV vaccine ICVAX) and OPIS, an international CRO, to support overseas clinical trials.
