FAQ: Golden Cariboo's 2026 Exploration Program at Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property

By NewsRamp Editorial Team

TL;DR

Golden Cariboo Resources' 2026 exploration program offers investors early access to potential gold discoveries through a 7,500m drilling campaign targeting high-grade zones.

The program involves opening access roads, preparing water systems, and transitioning from NQ to HQ core drilling to improve recovery and geological data collection.

This exploration contributes to responsible resource development in British Columbia, potentially creating local jobs and supporting sustainable mining practices in historic gold regions.

Golden Cariboo is drilling near a 1865 gold-silver discovery, using modern PhotonAssay technology to explore a geological trend similar to world-class deposits.

FAQ: Golden Cariboo's 2026 Exploration Program at Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has started its 2026 mineral exploration program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in British Columbia, with field activities including road access preparation and drilling setup.

The property is located approximately 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon and 50 kilometers southeast of Prince George, British Columbia.

The company is embarking on a 7,500m (24,600 ft) surface diamond drilling program, initially continuing within drill hole QGQ25-28 in the Halo zone, and preparing to transition from NQ to HQ-sized core for improved recovery.

Drill hole QGQ24-20 returned 137.17m of 1.55 g/t gold and 16.05 g/t silver, including 4.29m of 16.43 g/t gold and 9.09 g/t silver, and 2.0m of 6.53 g/t gold and 957.0 g/t silver, as reported in the August 12, 2025 news release.

Additional activities include over 1 km of trenching, mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling, ground and airborne geophysical studies, and ongoing refinement of geological models.

Frank Callaghan is the President and CEO, who stated that the team is energized for the 2026 season, with road access opened and drilling set to advance north of the Halo zone, representing their most comprehensive exploration efforts to date.

The technical information has been reviewed and approved by Jean Pautler, an independent consultant and Professional Geoscientist registered with APEGBC, who is a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.

This upgrade is expected to improve core recovery and provide enhanced geological information from key structural and mineralized zones, allowing for more detailed insight into the project's potential.

The 2026 program is designed to build on the momentum and technical successes of previous exploration seasons, targeting priority zones identified through geological mapping, sampling, and structural interpretation studies.
