FAQ: Angkor Resources' CZ Gold Prospect Discovery on Andong Meas License in Cambodia
TL;DR
Angkor Resources Corp. identifies the CZ Gold target in Cambodia, offering potential investment advantage through new gold exploration near existing Canada Wall prospect.
Angkor's team mapped a 30-meter quartz stockwork in a tunnel, using historical data and rainy season reviews to plan 2026 trenching and drilling programs.
Angkor's exploration could boost Cambodia's economy through mineral development while prioritizing staff safety amid regional conflicts and maintaining environmental commitments.
Artisanal miners excavated a 47-meter tunnel revealing quartz veins, where panning recovered visible gold nuggets, highlighting Cambodia's untapped mineral potential.

Angkor Resources has identified an additional gold target named CZ Gold on the west side of the Canada Wall prospect on their Andong Meas exploration license in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia.
It's located on the west side of the Canada Wall prospect on the Andong Meas exploration license in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia, specifically in a tunnel on the west side of a river running through the license.
A quartz stockwork with an apparent thickness of 30 metres was mapped in the tunnel, with a northwest strike, along with multiple shallow trenches and a 47-metre-long tunnel excavated by artisanal miners.
In 2012, three holes were drilled about 70 metres apart; they didn't intersect the quartz stockwork zone but cored into granite (likely alaskite type) with abundant miarolytic cavities and thick bands of 'bucky quartz' (coarsely crystallized, non-laminating quartz).
While alaskite and bucky quartz do not host gold deposits per se, they are frequently found in close proximity to gold deposits, suggesting potential nearby mineralization.
The company intends to conduct a surface trenching and sampling program in Q1 of 2026 to determine the setting and orientation of the quartz stockwork, followed by planning a diamond drill program once established.
Although the Andong Meas license is far to the east of the conflict in northwest Cambodia, management is carefully monitoring the situation; safety is imperative so any activities in the northwest are on hold until further notice.
Dennis Ouellette, B.Sc., P.Geo., VP Exploration on site, a member of APEGA and a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure.
The team uses the rainy season (generally June to November) to review all prospects; analysis took place on all gold prospects due to the spike in gold prices over the past year.
