FAQ: Ares Strategic Mining's Secondary Ventilation System Completion and Industrial-Scale Mining Readiness

By NewsRamp Editorial Team

TL;DR

Ares Strategic Mining gains operational advantage as America's only fluorspar producer with completed ventilation system enabling full-scale mining and revenue generation.

Ares installed a 75-horsepower fan delivering 30,000 CFM airflow through a dedicated ventilation raise that also serves as a secondary emergency egress pathway.

This development supports North American industrial supply chains for critical minerals, reducing foreign dependence while creating safer mining operations for workers and communities.

Fluorspar from this mine powers everything from lithium-ion batteries to nuclear fuel, making it essential for modern technology and clean energy solutions.

FAQ: Ares Strategic Mining's Secondary Ventilation System Completion and Industrial-Scale Mining Readiness

Ares Strategic Mining has successfully completed and activated its secondary underground ventilation system at the Lost Sheep Fluorspar Mine, which is the final regulatory and operational milestone required to commence industrial-scale mining operations.

This marks the final step before true production begins, allowing the company to ramp up to full-scale continuous mining while meeting all Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards for safety and compliance.

The mine is located in Juab County, Utah, United States.

The system includes a 75-horsepower, 30-inch diameter fan generating a minimum of 30,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of fresh airflow, custom-built by ABC Ventilation Systems and installed along a dedicated ventilation raise that also serves as a second egress pathway.

The system was designed and implemented by Provo Mining & Construction (PMC), with the fan custom-built by ABC Ventilation Systems.

With the ventilation system online, the company is now cleared to begin ore extraction at industrial levels, supporting near-term stockpiling and processing targets and moving into continuous mining operations at scale.

Fluorspar is a U.S.-designated critical mineral vital to the production of aluminum, steel, lithium-ion batteries, fluoropolymers, hydrofluoric acid, and nuclear fuel production, reducing dependence on foreign sources.

Ares' Lost Sheep Mine is currently the only permitted and operational fluorspar mine in the United States, positioning the company to support North American industrial supply chains.

The company has completed spiral decline development and ore access drifts, mobilized full mining equipment fleets including loaders, articulated trucks, and jumbo drills, and constructed and commissioned surface processing infrastructure (Lumps Plant).

The company has settled $64,901.13 of debt for accounting and financial services by issuing 150,933 common shares at a deemed price of $0.43 per share to Viktoriya Griffin, Prospero, and Craven Capital.
