Vision Marine Technologies: Electric Boating FAQ

Vision Marine is developing proprietary high-voltage electric propulsion technology (E-Motion™ 180E) and operates Nautical Ventures, a Florida-based retail, service and marina platform. This combination gives them a direct route from engineering to customer delivery and service.

The E-Motion™ 180E is a high-voltage electric propulsion platform integrating an electric motor, battery packs, power electronics, thermal management, throttle controls and vessel-level systems. It delivers continuous 180 horsepower at the propeller.

The E-Motion platform has been integrated into more than 25 OEM boat configurations across 13 brands, including pontoons, bowriders, center consoles, catamarans and performance vessels.

Fortune Business Insights forecasts the global electric boat market could grow from $8.9 billion in 2026 to $24.94 billion by 2034, a compound annual growth rate of 13.74%.

From September 2025 through late February 2026, Vision Marine reported electric boat sales under contract increased 446% year over year, totaling $1,118,763.50 in signed customer purchase agreements. These are not yet recognized revenue.

The commercial opportunity is not just replacing a gasoline engine with an electric motor, but building a complete system that can be integrated into multiple vessel types, manufactured consistently, serviced after delivery and supported throughout the ownership cycle.

Electric boats offer quieter operation, reduced routine mechanical maintenance, no exhaust emissions at the point of use and a different on-water experience.
