By NewsRamp Editorial Team

TL;DR

Trailbreaker Resources gains a strategic advantage with a 5-year permit to drill its undrilled Coho copper-gold target, located near proven deposits in a prolific mining district.

Trailbreaker Resources received a 5-year permit allowing diamond drilling from up to 50 pads, trail construction, geophysical surveys, and a temporary camp at its 8,000-hectare Coho property.

Trailbreaker Resources' permit enables exploration that could yield new mineral resources, supporting economic development while fostering collaboration with the Takla First Nation community.

The Coho zone, an undrilled copper-gold target, has surface samples with up to 16.15 g/t gold and is situated just 3.5 km from recent high-grade drill intercepts.

FAQ: Trailbreaker Resources' Drill Permit for Coho Copper-Gold Property in Central BC

Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. has received a property-wide exploration permit for its Coho copper-gold porphyry property in central British Columbia, allowing drilling and other exploration activities to proceed.

The Coho property is an 8,000-hectare area located 90 km north of Fort St. James, BC, and 30 km west of the Mount Milligan mine in central British Columbia, within the territory of the Takla First Nation.

The Coho property contains a drill-ready copper-gold (Cu-Au) porphyry target called the Coho zone, which has never been drilled despite having surface geochemical anomalies and nearby discoveries.

The permit allows diamond drilling from up to 50 drill pads, construction/modification of up to 15 km of exploration trails, 20 line-km of ground geophysical surveys, and construction of a temporary work camp.

The permit is a 5-year Multi-Year Area-Based (MYAB) Mines Act permit with a provisional expiry date of December 18th, 2030, and was received in time for the 2026 exploration season.

Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) holds the property through an option agreement and is collaborating with the Takla First Nation, on whose territory the property is located, regarding the drill program.

The property is situated in the Quesnel Tectonic Terrane, a district known for prolific alkalic copper-gold porphyry deposits, and is near the producing Mount Milligan mine and recent discoveries with promising drill results.

The property is 30 km west of Centerra Gold's Mount Milligan mine, contiguous with Pacific Empire Minerals' Trident property (which recently reported a 183m drill intercept of 0.77% Cu and 0.51 g/t Au), and north of Pacific Ridge Resources' Chuchi property.

While there has been limited historical drilling on the claims, the Coho zone itself has never been drilled, though it has recently completed property-wide geochemical and geophysical surveys identifying anomalies.
