UGI Stroudsburg Natural Gas System Upgrades FAQ

UGI Utilities is performing natural gas main replacement system upgrades to provide safe and reliable service, which also creates opportunities for some homes and businesses along the project route to convert to natural gas.

Construction begins on Monday, November 24, 2025, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, with completion expected by April 2026. Work will pause from November 26-28, December 24-26, and December 31-January 1.

The project will impact North 5th Street from Wiley Avenue to Oakwood Avenue, Wiley Avenue, Wallace Street from Wiley Avenue to Wizac Avenue, Wizac Avenue between North 5th Street and King Street, Oakwood Avenue, and Spruce Street between Stokes Mill Road and Oakwood Avenue.

Drivers, residents, and business owners may experience lane and parking restrictions during construction hours, along with some interruptions to natural gas service that will require UGI to access properties for inspection and equipment relighting.
